CONTEXT
- A global cybersecurity solutions client navigated Vietnam’s recent government restructuring, which shifted oversight of the sector to the Ministry of Public Security (MPS). As a highly central and sensitive authority, MPS played a pivotal role but was traditionally difficult for businesses to approach. The client sought to lay the foundation for constructive engagement with this Ministry.
EXECUTION
- We developed a strategy to help our client engage and work effectively with the MPS, starting with capacity-building initiatives in defensive cybersecurity. We facilitated coordination between our client and a specialized cybersecurity agency of MPS to successfully co-host a workshop on AI in cybersecurity. With the Ministry’s endorsement, the workshop advanced capacity building to address emerging threats and promote responsible AI governance. The secured engagement with the Minister of Public Security also further strengthened the strategic direction and guidance for cooperation between our client and the Ministry.
RESULTS
- These initiatives established long-term engagement channels with MPS, enhanced the client’s positioning in Vietnam, and ensured proactive alignment with evolving regulatory expectations. The success of the workshop also paved the way for a formalized MoU with the MPS.
